“You have to trust that the pain you feel is the beginning of your healing... Healing means to move from your pain to your hope.”
Henri Nouwen
Korean & English Counselling for Teens, Adults & Couples
You may want to feel more emotionally steady, confident, and connected, but daily life feels heavier than it should. Stress, anxiety, sadness, shame, guilt, low self-worth, or relationship concerns may be making it difficult to feel like yourself.
You do not have to carry this alone.
Joyce offers counselling in English and Korean for teens, adults, and couples who are navigating emotional pain, family pressure, relationship stress, perfectionism, loneliness, or questions of faith and identity. Her goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
In counselling, Joyce will work with you to:
Explore the thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns that may be keeping you stuck
Understand the impact of family, culture, faith, and past experiences on how you see yourself and others
Develop practical tools to manage stress, quiet your inner critic, and strengthen self-worth
Build healthier, more authentic connections with yourself and the people around you
Joyce uses an integrative approach that may include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems, culturally sensitive therapy, Christian counselling, and relationship-focused support. For couples and premarital counselling, she may also draw from Gottman-informed tools and Prepare-Enrich.
With support, it is possible to feel less overwhelmed, understand yourself more clearly, and begin taking practical steps toward healing, confidence, and connection.
If you are unsure whether therapy is the right next step, you can book a brief, no-pressure consultation to see if Joyce is a good fit for your needs.
