Anxiety, Depression, Stress & Culturally Responsive Counselling
Support for adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, low self-worth, culture, identity, and faith.
Anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-worth can leave you feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure how to move forward. You may find yourself caught in negative thoughts, carrying difficult emotions on your own, or wondering whether anyone will truly understand your experiences.
You do not have to work through these struggles alone. I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly and feel understood. My approach is collaborative, holistic, and culturally responsive. When it is meaningful to you, we can also explore how your culture, identity, and faith influence your emotional well-being.
Together, we will work to understand the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck. You will learn practical strategies to manage stress, recognize unhelpful patterns, respond differently to your inner critic, and make changes that reflect your values and goals. We will move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you have been carrying things by yourself for a long time. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect as you develop greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Book a session with me today and take the next step toward feeling more supported and more in control of your life.
Experience
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Divinity in Counselling and Spiritual Care and a Master of Public Health. I have also worked in the public-health sector for more than ten years.
As a woman of colour, I understand that culture, identity, family expectations, and faith can shape how we experience emotional distress and how comfortable we feel asking for help. I integrate culturally sensitive and holistic perspectives into therapy while honouring each client’s individual experiences, beliefs, and goals.
